• When I go to switch the theme, a few minutes later when I go back to edit the theme it says “The requested theme does not exist. Then I have to go back and re-select it because when I go back to view themes, none of the themes are selected. This is strange. Has this happened before to anyone else?

The problem is, when a theme is not selected, most pages on my site are blank (just a white screen without words).

If anyone can help me that would be great. I would like to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

This is a serious problem since my site will be down half the time if I don’t keep re-selecting the theme I want to use.

Here’s the URL to my site: https://suefeng.com

Is there an ampersand in your theme’s name? If so, edit the style.css file to remove it. This worked for me.

Thanks! That fixed the problem for me.

Crikey! This issue just started happening on one of my blogs in the past couple months. I didn’t suspect the ampersand because it had always been in the theme title.

Removing the ampersand definitely worked for me!

    Hi,
Have the same problem with “QUOTES” in the theme title. Removed the quotes and Edit was successfully! – BUT – the result is a text based only blog??? Any ideas on that?
    Thank you.

    This worked for me too!
