I have Google site kit on all of the websites I managed and this error is permanent for the last couple of months:
    Data error in Analytics
The response is not a valid JSON response.

Is there any solution for this ‘cos updates are not fixing it

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re encountering issues when using the plugin. As this can occur in various circumstances please share the following information and we can hopefully determine the cause and ensure the plugin works as expected:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can share here or privately via this form if preferred. Please be sure to include your current hosting provider in the respective input box if using the form, or reference here if not.
    2. Do you recall any changes at host level to your Firewall or any other security features?
    3. On the same screen where you encounter this message can you share any console errors you encounter?

Let me know if you have any questions on the above. Should we determine any block at host level it’s normal that plugin updates won’t resolve this issue.

    Hi,

I am confronted with the same issue.

Refreshing the page a couple of times usually solves the problem, but it’s always annoying to have an error message showing like that on your dashboard.

@predajob Hi there! If you’d like to open a new support topic we’d be happy to assist with your case individually.

Considering I have this problem on numerous sites should I send the info for every site on this form?

    Hi @mikestankovich,

Your Site Health information for one site is enough. In your case your current hosting provider may be enough to start troubleshooting from, so please be sure to include that, along with any particular hosting package if relevant.

May I also ask you are there any particular common plugins you install on each of these sites, or do you use a backup or base collection of plugins for each of these impacted sites?

Many thanks for providing your Site Health information. I noticed you’re using iThemes Security. I assume you use the same plugin on all your sites where this is occurring? For testing purposes on the site you included in the form please check one particular configuationiThemes > Settings > System Tweaks > Configure > Long URL Strings.

If enabled please disable before attempting to view your Analytics dashboard once more. I believe this will no longer be a feature in iThemes after their next big update based on previous contact.

If you already had this disabled before arriving in the support forums I can provide you with some additional troubleshooting steps while also checking with your hosting provider.

@mikestankovich As we haven’t received a response, I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist. Thank you!
