Hi, I have a big problem with a website.

The site was hacked and banned by Google (now is OK), I cleaned up and deleted all suspicious files and folders. I deleted the WP installation to put a new one (6.0.2), the theme was changed, there are only 5 extensions installed.
I cannot install an extension because the connections with www.ads-software.com are closed.
WordFence cannot perform its configuration either.

The message in site health is:

The REST API request failed with an error.
Erreur : cURL error 7: Failed to connect to atelierldecors.fr port 443: Connection refused (http_request_failed)

    What should be done ?
My host tells me that it’s up to wordpress to open the IP of its hosting.

    Regards.
    Jean

  • I’m currently developing an enterprise app and the api I’m hitting only returns 204. Bad request? 204. Unauthorized? 204. Good request, bad data? 204. Internal server error 204. No return string.

And its a massive global company to boot.

Maybe you should talk to atelierldecors.fr or is this your site? It doesn’t say failed connecting to www.ads-software.com it says atelierldecors.fr. Do you have a plugin that uses this site? If this is your site it could be a problem with the nonce. if a plugin is dynamic it has to be on a page that contains a nonce.

@sidhuthe88 You should open your own thread for this problem. If you are using REST to communicate with a different server it is probably wanting an authentication code in the header. You would have to look for the documentation for the remote application. REST API are different and have different security measurements.

Hi, there are 4 activated plugins : Nextgen Gallery, Maintenance, Akismet and Free Elementor, I tried to install and activate WordFence but I can’t access www.ads-software.com.
My host tells me to ask www.ads-software.com to give access to my server’s IP… is this a credible request???
    Regards.
