I am running woocommerce website but few day ago I have started facing too much issue regarding Woocommerce plugin.

The REST API encountered an error

Due to this issue, my website slowed down and eating all server resources. This error come when I activate the woocommerce plugin. I really disappointed with WooCommerce updates. It always comes out with new bugs and it is impossible to stabilize my website and lose business.

The REST API encountered an errorPerformance

The REST API is one way that WordPress and other applications communicate with the server. For example, the block editor screen relies on the REST API to display and save your posts and pages.

When testing the REST API, an error was encountered:

    REST API Endpoint: https://example.com/wp-json/wp/v2/types/post?context=edit
REST API Response: (http_request_failed) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10162 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    Hi @asifashi1

Based on your explanation, it sounds like the issue is related to the REST API timing out, and it’s happening with WordPress core instead of WooCommerce.

However, this could be due to various factors, including server performance issues, network connectivity problems, or conflicts with other plugins. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Ensure your server is not overloaded and has enough resources to handle requests. You might need to upgrade your hosting plan or optimize your server for better performance.
    2. If your server is fine, there might be network issues causing the timeout. You can test this by trying to access your website from a different network or location.
    3. Deactivate all other plugins except WooCommerce and see if the issue persists. If it’s resolved, reactivate the plugins one by one until you find the one causing the conflict.

I have check with no cache, no security plugin but no effect. I have 4 Core 8GB physical memory but its not work with 200 product website.

    Hello asifashi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand you have disabled all other plugins and noticed that errors occur only when WooCommerce is active.

To confirm, did you deactivate all the plugins and switch to a default theme like Storefront?
This is a standard conflict test to determine if there is a conflict between plugins or the active theme.

Woocommece update always come with bugs and really hard of keep websites stable and losing business.

Could you confirm when the error started appearing?
The last WooCommerce update was version 9.1.4 and it was released on 2024-07-26.

Have you tried an older version of WooCommerce?
    Like Version 9.1.1 or 9.1.2?
You can use the WP Rollback plugin to switch to back and forth between versions easily.

Let me know about your findings. ??

    Best regards.
