• My site cant be read by Google fetch sitemap. Discovered that REST API issues is one of the culprit. Now it has affected a lot of my traffic and stuffs on the site. After i upgraded to 5.5 it has been horrible.
    Filled with regrets honestly.

    The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

    Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. Enter troubleshooting mode, then see if the API still has errors. If it does, there’s likely a server configuration issue that’s preventing proper functioning. If no errors, restore your normal theme and plugins from the troubleshooting admin bar item, one module at a time, checking for API errors after each. When errors return, the problem lies in the last activated module.

    Don’t forget to exit troubleshooting mode when finished. It can be confusing to use your site if you forget. Don’t ask how I know ??
