• When trying to upload to the WordPress gallery I’m getting HTTP errors for some files. All files are jpgs, all are less that 128M. It seems to be file specific. No matter how many times I try uploading the file it will not go while other jpgs upload just fine.

    Here is a specific example.

Out of 20 jpgs, 19 upload just fine. One will not. It’s a jpg file, 515K in size. Jpgs of larger size upload without error.

The image stalls at 93%. I try uploading again, it stalls at 81%. I try again, it stalls again. 87% if that means anything. No matter how many time I try to upload it the jpg will not go. Other jpgs upload just fine.

    Let’s try the browser uploader.

When trying to upload with the browser uploader, I select the file that needs to be uploaded and hit the “upload” button. I get:

    Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /cbttt/wp-admin/media-new.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Question 1 – anyone know how to fix this problem of specific files not uploading. I have also tried the standard responses of “use the default theme” and “disable all your plugins”. Neither of which helped.

    Part two.

While it’s annoying, I could just FTP the jpgs to the gallery folders. However since WordPress gallery does not have an option to scan a gallery for new files this doesn’t work – or rather I should say if the option to scan for new files exists I haven’t found it yet.

Does this function exist or is there a plugin that can add it?

All of this matters as I’d like to use the galleries and carousel provided by Jetpack. So using a different gallery plugin isn’t the answer I’m looking for in this case.

    Thanks much
