    Hello all,
After crashing and reinstalling the Current theme, I find that I am missing several of the widgets that came with the first version. One in particular was an “Embed video in the sidebar.”
I’m not talking about a “plug-in.” It was a drag and drop type widget. I am sure there were more, but that is one that stood out for me.
Any ideas where my missing widgets may be hiding? Or if there are any that I can add to the current set?

    Thanks,

    r

What do you mean by “first version”?

Theme Current as of now has only 1 version approved according to this
    https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/query?keywords=~theme-current

Where did you get the previous version? or did you just reinstall the same version?

    Hello Ronangelo,
    Thanks for your response.
I installed the initial Current theme through the GoDaddy host. I was futzing with one of the php files and crashed it. I uninstalled the theme, then re-installed the same theme.

I admit I am not that smart as this is my first shot at using a WP blog site. I normally just use non-WP templates so I’m not totally ignorant – although sometimes I do feel like a total smutz. It’s not a big deal if I can’t figure it out, but I do know it existed.

It was in the Widgets area of the Appearance editor. It allowed me drag it to the side bar where all good widgets go to be active. There was an input box that let me insert a URL from YouTube. That video then appeared within a small player in the side bar of all the post pages. It was kinda neat since I’m doing posts on aerial photography.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I’ll keep searching till I figure out what the heck I did.

We only support the version of the theme from https://www.ads-software.com/themes/

Thank you ESMI for your response.

I assumed I was using the WordPress approved theme, since that is where I downloaded and installed it from.

No matter. I will try to survive without it – hard as that may be.

I was wondering however, in looking through some of the other themes (Focus By SiteOrigin Version 1.1.7), I can see that in the Widgets area that the widget I was referring to is actually present in this theme’s Widget area under Appearance drop down menu. It is called Embedded Video (PB).

Please forgive my lack of knowledge as WP has opened an entirely new learning experience for me. Translated, that means I’ll just be bustin’ your chops with more DA questions ;).

    Whoohoo!!!
    Figured it out.
If you take the Current theme (or any supported theme I think) and install the Page Builder plug-in, by Greg Friday, it includes my beloved Embed Video Widget (said with tongue in cheek) as well as a number of others that are not included in the original Current theme.

    I win.

    Thanks again for your help.

Sorry I was a little late to the party. Current goes hand in hand with Page Builder. It’s a shame when they’re apart ??

Glad you got it sorted. It feels good to win.

    Hi Greg Friday,

It didn’t dawn on me until a couple of days after I got your first post — your the theme author (slap head really, really hard). I am such a DA.

I really like your themes. I’m looking at Focus right now, but will wait for awhile before using it. I’m getting into aerial videography and it seems like Focus is made for vids.

Anyway, thanks for the great work.
    Take care
