  • Hello guys. I am not an IT genius, but I had the same problem, when I wanted to edit my pages, this error popped up. What helped me was updating my PHP to 7.3 version (I was running 5.6). The problem suddenly dissapeared. ??

    I solved the problem by upgrading the PHP version to 7 and my downgrading the wordpress version to 5.0.3. It seems many addons are not compatible with later wordpress versions so I will be sticking to it for now until a solution is found.

    Hi All

    If your activated theme or plugins have include – include_once problems you can’t see warning or error notices on WP 5.2, i checked my last changes on theme and find a folder issue

    @ementes I downloaded the version that I wanted I unzipped it and via filezilla or any other FTP Client I deleted the wp-admin and wp-includes from the remote site folders. Then I uploaded those 2 folders from the unzipped wordpress version without uploading the wp-content folder. You have to upload all the separate PHP files of the wordpress version that are not included in the folders.

    I got this issue today too and have track it down to functions.php in my child theme!
    Test to rename themes folder and download a plugin to downgrade WP in the admin area. Next issue is to find out why functions.php make this problem suddenly!?

    Hm seems to be custom hooks that screw up WP if the plugin hooks calling are disabled! Now everything working again but i need check it better tomorrow, now im tired of this and need to sleep! Im happy it working again and im very happy i have some skills to fix it. It must be a disaster for people that only use panels to administrate WP !

    Im having the same issue, the site completely crashed. Kept giving a PHP error message. Thought that it was Elementor but now seeing this I believe it may have been the upgrade. I am so upset right now as this is truly an issue. Been down for hours now.

    Hello

    I have done all this thing which is mentioned above. but still did not get solution

    (The site is experiencing technical difficulties).

    Please help my guys

    FYI, I am having the same issue, but only in Firefox. The site is fine in Chrome, so it looks like a compatibility issue with FF in 5.2

    There is a lot of people jumping on here, despite us asking you not to (it’s even in our Forum Welcome and Support Guidlines that you please create your own topics, as an issue is rarely the same, especially in this case I can tell you it won’t be the same).

    Now then, to the answer at hand;

    WordPress 5.2 introduces new protection for sites crashing due to bad or invalid code (also known as a White Screen of Death, or WSOD for short).

    If your site crashes, the message above is shown, and an email is sent to the site admin with a way to log in and deactivate the plugin or theme causing problems, once that is done the site should start working again as expected.

    If you are not receiving the email, you’ll have to do the manual tasks as recommended in the usual troubleshooting guide (see the section on disabling plugins in our WordPress 5.2 Master List), in some cases, if you have access to error logs, they will show what caused the error, but in that case, make your own topic, we can’t answer all of you in this massive thread.

    Because this thread is now so convoluted, I’m closing it, I encourage you to make your own topics if the above steps do not work for you, or you need help explaining them in detail.
