As you will see at “the page I need help with,’ no slider displays:

    https://bazaar.typeheritage.com/crelly-slider/

My concern is that no “Alias Title” was automatically assigned, so I could only guess it by manually entering it in the page text view:

    [crellyslider alias="crelly_slider"]
    or [crellyslider alias="2"]

Please inspect the page linked above, where the desired display and settings screenshots are illustrated.

Have I missed a step? Have I made a mistake?

Many, many thanks for teaching me how to fix this problem—I really need a slider that can display captioned images!

Hi Anna, usually the alias is automatically generated from the slider name that you’ve assigned. Visit the Crelly Slider plugin page in your website admin panel, you will find a list of all the sliders you have created, and the shortcode that you have to use to display a particular slider.

I’ve been there and done that:

    https://bazaar.typeheritage.com/wp-content/uploads/No-Shortcode.png

The slider is listed, but no shortcode was automatically generated. Any ideas?

Many (*M*A*N*Y*) thanks for helping me, Anna

Interesting, it has never happened before. Have you tried to give the slider another name? (click on edit slider, you’ll be able to change it). The shortcote should be generated accordingly while you’re typing it. If nothing happens while you type, press f12 on your keyboard. The browser developer interface will appear. Click on “console” and check if you spot any JavaScript error.

Your suggestion to change the slider name worked like a charm!!!

    Thank you so much, Anna

P.S. Now that I have it working, I need help with centering the images. I will start a new thread for this issue.
