  • Hi,

If you click on Edit Snippet does the meta description field show a green or orange indicator bar. See image for example: https://pasteboard.co/IzY3fs9.jpg

Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v12.2? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    Hi there,

The meta description field shows a green when I enter the words. If it shows an orange, I will delete some words. However, it still does not work the same as Google search results.

The big problem is after I update the version to 12.2, the description field disappears totally. See image:https://snipboard.io/qOXcVr.jpg

    I cannot edit anything now.

    please help me quickly.

    Hi @tinachan123,

A?blank meta box?issue occurs due to a JavaScript conflict. So?we’d like you to please perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

Can you please inform us of the results by replying here, so we might be able to help you solve this issue?
