• I started to use this theme and I like it very much.

One problem I was not able to figure out is the social links.

When I use the theme editor it’s there. When I load the website from tablet or phone browser it’s there, works correctly!

But when I load the website from browser, it’s not there ?????♂? Neither in full screen nor if I resize the window to use the tablet/phone responsive CSS. It’s not there if I reload with small browser size as well.

Am I doing something wrong? (my site can be found here: https://teslablog.hu/, social links should be in the bottom of the sidebar)

Another question (although I’m not sure if it’s a theme or WordPress question) is that when the Twitter icon and references will be replaced to ??? ??

  • Hey there,

    Many thanks for reaching out!

Hmm, this sounds browser specific – what is the browser in use and are there any browser extensions installed?

I should think that’s in the works. ??

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Hey @aleone89,

    thanks for the quick answer!

Good call.. I only checked in Google Chrome (both in normal and private mode) but I did not think about extensions! After a quick check this is caused by the AdBloc Plus extension. I wonder if there’s a workaround solution to this since this is not a harmful ad or social sharing stuff, only links to social media sites ??

If you have any idea please fix it, I’ll also try to investigate on my end which CSS class or what is causing the removing of these links a bit later..

    Thanks again!

I took a quick look at their documentation. It seems you can add sites to the allow list, if that helps. Or if they’re willing to do something on their side that allows sharing buttons everywhere, that would work too.

I was also checking which rule results the blocking of the sharing buttons since I usually see similar buttons on other sites.

I found this rule set which is applied to the site, to be more precise the ‘.wp-block-social-links‘ rule.

Do I understand correctly that the mentioned CSS is given and there’s no great way to change it in the theme to another class o remove it?

    Can you clarify this?

?the mentioned CSS is given and there’s no great way to change it in the theme to another class o remove it?

I’m not understanding why you would want to change or remove the CSS. How are you hoping to change it?
