This plugin has started causing issues with my AMP.

I have started getting this error on my pages in Google Search Console. It is currently effecting at least 30 pages and I have changed anything to suddenly cause it?

    Any help?

  • Hey there,
You may want to post in their forum instead — although, I am also wondering about this! I activated the plugin on my AMP pages yesterday, and I got the same “!important” error today.

I have tried posting there but it’s pretty useless!

I ended up editing the plugin’s CSS directly and it seems to be passing through validation again. Will have to await a fix…

You edited the amp.css file, correct? I see a few “!important” overrides in there, unfortunately. Not sure why they have an AMP.css file when it contains an AMP-failing attribute. Did you also edit the main wp-review.css file? That one is rife with “!important” overrides!

Thank you for letting me know – this is really helpful while we wait for a reply

No I just edited the amp.css file and it seems to be going through Google validation, which it wasn’t before. I can’t confirm for certain that it’s the solution but it seems it for now!

And yep – gotta help each other!
