• This problem occurs with NO plugins installed and using the 2014 Theme.

In the text editor my <p> tags are fine.

Then i click on the Visual editor tab and when i click back over to the Text editor, all of my <p> tags are gone.

This is a problem because my client wants to edit his pages and he does not know html, hence he must use the Visual editor.

    Thank you very much!

Please also note that i have read the other related posts and tried proposed solutions, none of which worked.

Have you tried any of the plugins suggested in other threads? TinyMCE Advanced or possibly WPedit?

i tried WP Edit. It does not work at all (meaning the editor won’t even load). I read elsewhere it is incompatible with 4.0 (4.0.1)

I have not tried TinyMCE Advanced but i will.

    Thank you JenR!

Are you sure you were trying WPedit? (Perhaps you tried Ultimate TinyMCS – which is the predecessor to WPedit – and mentioned in many older threads.)

I know the developer is very dedicated to development and support – this thread is on your very question –

You are correct / i was wrong on WP Edit – it does install ok BUT the p tags are still stripped when going between Visual and Text modes.

This is still in the environment with NO plugins activated (except WP Edit) and using Theme 2014.

Maybe i need WP Edit Pro? I will look further into that.

Yes, try that. And ask Josh if it doesn’t work – he’s a good guy and really goes the extra mile to help users of his plugins.

I tried WP Edit Pro and it does not seem to work either (p tags are still stripped)

I see you posted in the WPedit forum – which will be the best place to get help with it. Josh is quite responsive so I expect he’ll reply pretty quickly if he’s not tied up with something else.
