    Please help me…

Somehow, the link to display the tooltip disappeared and the tooltip no longer appears even when hovering over it with the cursor.

The following are the relevant operations I performed just before the issue occurred:

    • I ran [Elementor]>[Tool]>[Regenerate Files & Data] because the Elementor plugin display was broken.
    • I updated the Redux Framework plugin.
    • I disabled AMP.

Is there a way to restore the tooltip?

    Thank you in advance!

I want to let you know about the progress made.

Referring to the troubleshooting steps in the following article, I turned off [Highlight first term occurrence only?], and the tooltip appeared:

Glossary Index Page disappears when Jetpack by WordPress.com is activated

However, I did not set up Jetpack, and I want to keep [Highlight first term occurrence only?] ON.

Is there any solution to this?

    PS.
I am writing to let you know that I will not be able to reply for the next week or so.
I will respond as soon as I return.

Hello, one more thing you may want to try if you’re using Elementor is to enable the function “Move the tooltip contents to the footer” it generally solves the issues.

    Thank you for your response!

I have identified the cause of this issue.

It seems that the installation of the “Easy Table of Contents” plugin is the cause. (I apologize for forgetting to mention this.)

I confirmed that “CM Tooltip Glossary” works properly by disabling the “Easy Table of Contents” plugin. However, I would like to use both plugins.

Is there a way to resolve this?

    Thank you for your support!

    Hello,
Thanks for this additional information, we can try to replicate the issue locally and attempt to fix it, but we’d need more information on how to replicate it.

Can you send a screenshot of how the page looks when it’s working vs when it’s broken? Or just write a list of steps to replicate the issue.

ps. Have you tried our own implementation of Table of Contents? https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/cm-table-of-content/

It is normal to see tooltips for the following terms

    • UPWARD MAP
    • Salesforce Platform
    • AppExchange

Thank you for introducing the “CM Table Of Contents”!
We would like to consider it separately.

Thank you for your continued support!

Hello, thanks for the update, looks like it’s just not displaying the terms, but not distorting the view overall, then I suggest to try disabling the option: “Highlight only the first occurrence” – if it helps, then it would mean that the Table of Contents plugin is running the_content filter and ‘hijacking’ the terms.

We’ll then be able to have an option/fix to solve that.

    Hello!!
    Thank you for your reply!

As you pointed out, by turning off “Highlight first term occurrence only?”, the terms are displayed.

When “Highlight first term occurrence only?” is turned on: https://tinyurl.com/2htrcqkf

When “Highlight first term occurrence only?” is turned off: https://tinyurl.com/2pg2mv2g

Since there are many terms on my site, I would like to operate with “Highlight first term occurrence only?” turned on. Is it possible to solve this problem?

Thank you for your continued support!

    Hello,

Thanks for your patience and information about the issue. We’ve managed to find a way to resolve the conflict. The latest version should work even with the “Highlight first term occurrence only?” turned on since version 4.2.6
