    Greetings everyone,

I manually installed 3.0.1 and put up the Maintenance Mode screen a couple of week ago as I work away on the reorganization and restructure of my blog site. Today, I logged in to continue adding content and making corrections to post when I notice that nothing that I change will update; old information that I either deleted or rewrote simply will not stay when I click the “update” button. I also switched some categories for post and I notice that when I click “update” those changes won’t take either. Any suggestions for what I can do? Even though I just did a manual upgrade to 3.0.1 and have not experienced any problems until now, should I try the manual upgrade again? Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions shared!

You may need to repair the database.

Access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), check all of the tables, and choose “Repair tables” from the pull-down menu.

@james (MacManX) – I did as you suggested and my update function is working again. Thanks so much for your help!
