The upload file get more and more bigger

    Hi

    I get the upload file size more and more bigger, but my website doesn’t add new products and new images.

    The first time for the backup, the upload file has only 2 or 3 files only, but now has 15 files for the upload, and continuer gets more and more, this is not normal.

  • Hi,

    Can you please go to UpdraftPlus > Settings > Click Show Expert settings link, And check Split archives every: value, If its set to lower value, Can you please set it to 400 MB, then save the settings.

    Once you have done that, try to re-run the backup process and check if you still see more uploads folder zip files.

    @bornforphp Changing the split size won’t result in less data. It’ll just be split across more zip files.

    @franckw The best thing to do to see what is being backed up is to open the zip files, and look inside them.

    N.B. Every zip file reproduces the entire directory structure, so you’ll find plenty of empty directories. But, the zip files themselves will also have the actual files that make them up to the 400MB. So, look for those.
