    Hi bigbigl,

Could you please confirm that replacing the same image on version 4.0.1 works with no issues?

Removed 4.0.2. Rolled back the plugin to 4.0.1 and can confirm the issue exists in that version as well.

    Hi @bigbigl,

Can you please try to upload a new file, then replace it using both versions 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 and see if it works like that?

Just to clarify: if a file is corrupted for any reason at the DB level (wrong paths for example), replacing it won’t work for that reason. This is why I’m kindly asking you to test this with a new file (especially for version 4.0.2 because it has an additional fix for the cases when temporary files cannot be removed due to permission errors).

    Thank you!

    Hi @petredobrescu,

I’m not OP, but I’m seeing the same experience. A new file uploads fine when replacing it, but an older file (not sure what the latest date is) doesn’t.

Dear @rolotimasi, it’s not necessarily about the file date, but rather about the file information that is stored inside the DB. That seems to be corrupted somehow, because looking at the path from the error message, a part of it is doubled, therefore that image most likely has a wrong path stored for it. And when the plugin tries to replace it cannot do it because of the double path. The solutions here could be:

    • simply remove that image and re-upload it to the Media Library (also check if you uploaded it to a post or page, to re-upload it from the same place)
    • try to fix the path for it. This fix though requires advanced WordPress and DB knowledge, so I suggest you contact an advanced developer to get this done for you.

Please tell us if we can assist further with this!

@petredobrescu – I think you are correct about DB corruption. I spent some time taking a closer look at my DB and can confirm I am seeing some media asset corruption.
