• When trying to upload a photo I’m getting the error message of The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/content/xxxxxx/xx/html/wp-content/uploads.

I’ve CHMOD’d the wp-content and upload folders to 777. I’ve created a new uploads folder, I’ve re-installed WP and still getting the error message.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • I have the same issue and even I have tried everything. Any help anyone?

Not advisable to set directories to chmod to 777 (i.e. Security Issues). If you have checked the box that says “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” via Settings -> Media, then you have to manually create the wp-content/uploads folder, Year folder (e.g. uploads/2011), Month folder (e.g. 2011/05) and set the chmod to 775 to each of these directories.
