The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/

  • The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/ is the hell message what I am getting from my WP blog.

    I used also chmod 777 on that folder recursively, but nothing works.

    I am using nginx so user is for this website www-data offcourse.

    I also used ACL on this site like this setfacl -R -m u:www-data:rwX

    but nothing worked..any ideas?

    This happend after moving site on another server.

    @avskum, Please don’t bump. Everyone is a volunteer and they will respond in their spare time. If they want to.

    A) Which folder, wp-content or uploads?

    B) log into your dashboard and then navigate to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php

    Find these:

    upload_path

    upload_url_path

    Are both of those fields blank, or is there something in them?

    A)I did 777 on wp-content recoursively.

    B) in upload_path is wp-content/uploads

    I would expect them to both be blank by default, but it probably shouldn’t cause any issues as long as it isn’t a non-default path. I’m stumped. Still sounds like an ownership/permissions issue of some sort. Strange.

    Yes, it does, thats why I am so confused. I tryed on whole site 777 recusively, just in case I am doing something wrong with that project. But nothing helped.
