• I faced a uploading media error.
When I uploaded small size photo, I met message – “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/10.”
How can I solve this problem?
Would anybody please let me know?

  • EstelleKim, I have the same problem! Could this be one of their ‘glitches’ in the software?
What’s up guy’s? Can you help us out?

I am having the same problem!

Somebody out there who can help??

“The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/10.”

I am also having this problem. Here is the error message after dragging and dropping, using bulk select, or using the “Select Files” button.
“The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/10.”

I actually used my FTP to move the file directly to that folder where the other images I have uploaded and still cannot access the new images I would like to use for my gallery.

I also am having issues using an “Image from URL” however I will probably address that in the forum for the specific plug-in I am using.

I’m having the same problem with multiple sites. They were working previously. I upgraded two of them from 3.9.1 to 4.0, but that didn’t fix it. The only active plug-in they have in common is Akismet. Since I didn’t knowingly change anything, could this be a problem at the host?

    Hi,

    Try these:

1- Change permissions on the upload folder to 777.
    2- Increase upload_max_filesize in php.ini file.
3- Rename your function.php file and verify.

Where can I find a tutorial or directions on changing permissions, etc., as in the previous post? Thanks
