We are using the WordPress plug-in WP GoToWebinar on many pages and everything was running smoothly so far. Now we get the error: “The webinar either no longer exists or an error has occurred”, e.g. on page https://www.mettenmeier.de/news-termine/webinare-2021/webinar-2021-05-netzanschluss-am-servicecenter/ with the code key: [gotowebinar-reg key=”3593457301512517643″ include=”Webinar” exclude=”Netzanschlussprozess 4.0 und smarte Portall?sungen für Netzbetreiber”].
I tried connecting the plugin again with the gotowebinar application and cleared the webinar cache – both successfully. A WordPress upgrade has been made 2 days ago.

    Hi @ingorameil,

So I think the issue could be 2 things. Firstly it could be as the error says, are you sure the webinar still exists i.e. it hasn’t happened already? It may be a stupid questions, but this has come up a number of times before with people getting confused with webinars with the same name but one was a week a go and another is a week in the future.

Secondly, the issue could be with authentication, you might have ran into API limits with your app. So what I suggest is removing your custom application details (key and secret) in the General Options tab in the plugin settings, then save the settings and refresh the page, then click the connect button again (this will use our app to authenticate this time). Once authentication has finished, check out the page you mentioned to see if the shortcode works.

Hopefully one of those two solutions addresses the issue. Also if the latter solution solves the issue, as I said, the issue is likely with API limits. So therefore, you can switch back to your own application, but contact GoToWebinar developer support and ask them to increase the API limits on your account (or you can just continue to use our application). Thanks,
