The website administrator has not given you permission to log in

  • I’ve got this configured properly as far as I can tell… authenticates against my IdP successfully. I used to get the “username not provided” message but added a rule on the IdP and now I get this message- “The website administrator has not given you permission to log in”. Any help is appreciated!!

  • I was having this issue as well. The problem was that the user’s WordPress role wasn’t getting assigned. In my case, it was because the IdP (Okta) wasn’t mapping the “groups” attribute correctly.

    On the plugin’s Service Provider tab, I had to change the “Attribute to be used as Groups” field from “group” to “groups”.
