    Hi,

I’ve just installed TranslatePress. I use 2 languages : Polish as my default language and I translate to English. However, some of my pages are only in Polish and some are only in English.

And most of the translations work fine but link on Home page.

Some parts of the Home page are translated into English via your plug in, some use Elementor feature to restrict element only to the selected language.

In both cases when I set my website to English and click on the link to the page that is in English (but not via translation but originally), the link will direct me to this page but at the same time change website language back to Polish ( meaning menu, cart, check out will be back in Polish).

That is the case eg with the main banner on the website ( which uses Elementor feature to restrict content to specific language). But it is really the case with any link on the page.

Surprisingly, it just happens on the Home page. It is not the issue if I use the main menu.

How to go about it that the website doesn’t go back to the default language and stays in English when the user go to the page that is in originally in English? Those pages need to stay in English as they are and they need to be available both to Polish and English speaking users.

I work with WordPress.com and use Elementor.

    Thank you, Weronika

Solved it! Changing all the links to internal url solved the problems.

I have a similar issue. Clicking through the language change (using the Translatepress installed Flag-Icons) on ANY page works once. However, after a switch back once, the default language remains for all pages, no matter what flag icon is clicked. In the URL, #TRPLINKPROCESSED appears.

I have not been able to find out how to change URL to internal, but this issue also occurs on my home page, which has to be external.

    Thanks for any help.

hey, @faleiro , check this link on how to add internal url.

    https://biglinden.com/support/what-are-dynamic-links-or-smart-links-in-elementor

or google dynamic links in elementor.

    Hope this helps, Wera

Thanks Wera – I guess that this means you use Elementor. I am using Colibri in WordPress, and it does not seem to have any option for dynamic links. So Translatepress need to tell me how to solve this problem in Colibri WP.

    BTW nice website.
