The latest version of the plugin (1.12.0) gives a error notice:

The “wikipediapreview-postmeta-detectlinks” plugin has encountered an error and cannot be rendered.

The console returns an error when editing an post in the block-editor.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'wikipediapreview_detectlinks')

  • Hello, thank you for reaching out! We are looking into the error and trying to replicate. Could you please provide us with a more information regarding your setup? For example, what WordPress version are you using? Theme or any special plugin?

    Thanks

We run the latest WordPress 6.4.3. I just deactivated every other plugin with not results. The used theme is custom build. The issue also only with custom post types. With the default posts/pages it works fine.

Probably there is a conflict with the theme. We’ll investigate that first.

Upon further investigation, the console error seems to be caused by the custom post type not supporting custom-fields. After adding support in register_post_type(), the Wikipedia preview works as expected.

We have produced a fix that should be released shortly. In the meantime, you can use the workaround described above.
