The word “and”not gettting published unless I type “andand “

  • I have searched for days and cannot find the solution. When I type a paragraph, such as:

    “the morning sun and the birds in the trees make me remember when”

    the following is published:

    “the morning sun the birds in the trees make me remember when”

    that is, everything but the word “and”. But if I type word “and” twice with an extra space after the second “and ” that is:

    “the morning sun andand the birds in the trees make me remember when”

    I am able to publish:

    “the morning sun and the birds in the trees make me remember when”

    Completely clueless why this is happening.

    It does not happen on every page. Some pages publish correctly, others require the typing of “andand “to get the result of “and”. Note that I have to put an extra space after the second and, otherwise I get:

    “the morning sun andthe birds in the trees make me remember when”

    Anyone with a clue as to why this is happening?

  • You don’t mention what version of WP you are using, or which editor.
    Can you try it with the Health Check plugin in Troubleshoot mode, to disable plugins/theme for your user only? That way you can determine if it’s WP or a plugin.
