• Hello guys.

I have tried installing WordPress three times in the past five months and I try using different domains and subdomains on the same hosting provider and all that I get is this https://booking.nuera.ee – as you can see there isn’t even a hint to a proper design.

I have tried switching different themes – and none of them is displayed at all.

What do I do in this case?

    Thanks in advance

  • you have no theme installed here…
Try reseting to the original theme

That’s the point – I choose the theme in the admin and it doesn’t show on the front end

do you see the themes properly in admin or do you see codes and all?

I had the same problem with one of my theme. I found out that when I uploaded it with filezila the style.css file would mess up. make sure that when you transfer this file that you use ACSII in the transfer/transfert type menu at the top. That solved my problem…

    Hope it helps

I have just noticed one more thing… It looks that after unzipping the WP installation archive my Mac hid the .htaccessfile as a system file (it always treats such files like this)… so before installation I uploaded all the files but .htaccessfile… can this be the reason for my errors?

    Yep!

This is driving me crazy! I have tried installing it from my PC and the same thing happens – no templates are displayed properly (at all) on front end of the blog… Help ??

The link that you posted when you started this thread appears to be working properly, though it sure isn’t a blog.

My best guess is that you’re either installing it incorrectly (moving directories and/or files around), or you’re somehow altering the file permissions. I recommend following the detailed installation instructions.

the updated link to my nightmare is here – https://nuera.ee/bookadj/

In your folder containing wordpress files (I’ll guess the folder is bookadj) then you should see the wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes folders.

Under the wp-content folder you should see a themes folder. Under that themes folder you should have at least the classic and default folders. Also you should see a folder for your theme (let’s say the name of your theme is jcktheme). Then under the jcktheme folder you should see files such as index.php, sidebar.php etc.

I can see the themes but my point is they aren’t displayed at all on site ??

Maybe I need to consider changing the hosting provider?
