    Hello,

A conflict between the 7 theme and the event calendar plugin occurs. The header of my theme disappears on calendar and events pages. I don’t understand why as theme and plugin are compatible.
I need a help to fix this issue.
    Thanks

  • Hey @gneslo,

Thanks for using The Events Calendar, I’m happy to help! Apologies for the delayed reply, I was out a bit last week, so I’m playing catch up here! In order to help, I would like to get some more information from you, if I can:

-First, if you could please test for conflicts by following this documentation? Let me know what you find. This will help me determine how deeply we need to look into the specific configuration of your site, or if this is a bug. ??

-Can you send me a link to your site so I can see this firsthand? I’m a visual person, and I can often be more helpful in giving solutions to problems I can see and interact with.

-Based on the nature of your problem, I also think you may find it helpful to try changing your options under “Events>Settings>Display>Default stylesheet used for events templates.” See if one of the other settings solves your problem. (This would be an easy fix. ?? )

Let me know how all of this goes!

    Thanks!
    Shelby ??

I wish you could live it open, as my reply to Shelby does not appear thus I post it again :

I have already tested the conflict following the documentation and the calendar was ok with the sixteen theme, but not with “the 7”.
Also I have tried all the position “Events>Settings>Display>Default stylesheet used for events templates.”
The calendar is located here : https://www.isme.fr/event/

Thanks for your time and concern

    Hi @gneslo,

So sorry that this one slipped through the cracks! Unfortunately, since everything seems to be working with Twenty-Sixteen, if you’re still having this issue, I’d suggest reaching out to your theme developer for support with this issue, as we, unfortunately, can’t support theme conflicts on this forum.

Best of luck with your project! Let us know should you have any questions in the future! I’ll be resolving this one now though.

    Best,

    Shelby ??

We had the same issue with The7 theme. I went to the developers for help and they added code to the functions of the child theme. This is the code they included:
    https://gist.github.com/thecodepoetry/ad0b0e173fc7877e6629

However, they misunderstood what I explained and had to go back to edit the code (which they didn’t supply to me) to refer to the page header (that was missing) and not to the sidebar (which I wasn’t referring to). They wrote,

I slightly changed code (added header inherits) and set as a template

Apparently, I had selected “default page template” for events. By default it is an empty template, to make it inherit some page config he had to add the functions code and said,

Here, in code, i set $post_id = 2 as page template, you can create any other page and set her id in this code to make inherit her settings.

Perhaps this helps you and some other people with the same issue.
