I ended up puttin this on the line after the exceprt tag. not the prettiest, but it works until i can find the real solution.

I’m wondering if part of your code got “eaten” by PHP. If you’ll put it between ticks — ` — it will all display as text.

You could try the excerpt reloaded (a search here should turn it up). It allows you to customise the […] and do other things too.

couldnt you go into some file like quicktags and change the structure so that it outputs more… instead of […]?
