the_excerpt linking to full post.

    I apologize if this has been answered in the past but I’ve been struggling with this issue for a while now. My problem is that I’m using the_excerpt on my homepage and have created a functions.php that gives me a link at the end of the excerpt but when I click on the link, or title of the post or the image thumbnail it doesn’t take me to the full post.

    If possible, I would like to not have to go back to using the_content and the <!–more–>tage to solve this problem.

    Any suggestions would be very helpful.
