the_search_query()

All you have to do is edit that value in the search form (searchform.php). The default is something like `<?php echo attribute_escape($s); ?>”. Just replace that with “Enter Search Text Here” and you’re done.

Do you mean like change it to

<?php echo 'Enter Search Text Here'; ?>

No, I mean replace the PHP with “Enter text here”

That won’t affect the capability of the search bar?
