the_title retrieving post title, not page title?

    Hello all,

    I’ve placed ‘the_title’ in my header.php file, and in all the page.php files, it retrieves the title of the page. However, on the index.php file, it display the my recent post title, as opposed to the page title.

    Any ideas?
