• Hello, I am using WP Twenty Eleven theme for CMS with the Showcase template and TheCartPress plug-in. I entered a product with a media photo and text description. I was happy with the result. When I made some minor changes saved and opened the preview the page was then using the default narrow single column. I have been using this theme for 4 years and checked everything that I could think of, but could not find the cause. On the edit page it is still set to Showcase.

In the Plug-in Settings | Look&Feel | Custom Templates, I see the message: “showcase.php is missing” for Pages, Products and their archives. Resetting to ‘showcase’ and submitting does not change anything. Checking the Theme files, the showcase .php file is present and unchanged.

What is even more strange is that, even if the plug-in is deactivated, the whole site is still missing the showcase template format on every page where it is set. Even replacing the showcase file or reinstalling the Twenty Eleven theme, had no effect: no showcase! I am developing the site on WAMP and tried many changes, but could not find the cause.

I desperation, I removed WP with the entire site and the database and started from fresh. However, the problem repeated and I am back to where I was with the same “showcase.php is missing” message.

Can you offer any suggestions regarding the cause of this issue.
