Theme Advice (solostream, pagelines, or other?)

  • All of the WP theme choices are very overwhelming. We recently started a blog at https://bassparade.com . I am very disappointed with the look of the narrow side-bars and we are considering making a theme change. There are basically two options: 1) buy a premium theme, or 2) start from scratch.

    Our team has enough talent to start from scratch (barely), and the final result would probably look more like this: https://woodytone.com

    Advice? Pros / Cons?

    It has been suggested to me that buying a premium theme saves many headaches because they work out bugs as updates to plug-ins and WP occur.

    The premium themes I am looking at are Ellie at solostream.com or maybe something from pagelines.com . Any other suggestions that would look good with the simple/classic blog look we are going for?
