Theme always shows example home page but not my custom one
-
Hi, thank you for proving this great theme for free!
Defect I need help with
The front page is always the example front page of the theme and never the page I set as front page under Settings > Reading.
Further, the page that I set to be the front page redirects to the template.
Thus, the only way for me to have a custom frint page is to change the template instead of editing a page. That’s a big problem because a theme update would destroy my front page and it’s not under the WordPress page version control.
What I want to achieve
I want that https://untitled-data-company.com/ opens this page: https://untitled-data-company.com/home/. However, it shows the Lemmony template home page.
My system
Fresh WordPress WordPress 6.7.1 running Lemmony Agency theme. I have the same problem with the Lemmony theme too.
I tried without success:
- I set this page https://untitled-data-company.com/home/ to be the Front Page under Settings > Reading.
- I switched the theme. With Twenty Twenty-Three it shows the /home page as front page as desired. Only with Lemmony and Lemmony agency it does not.
- I changed the template of the front page under Appearance > Theme > Editor > Design > Pages > Home. I replaced the text in the Hero pattern. This change is visible.
- I do not declare my page /home to be the Front Page under Settings > Reading. Then, it is available under https://untitled-data-company.com/home/
- I ensured that the template of my /home page is “Default Template”.
- I emptied the entire cache of the Litespeed plugin.
- I reinstalled WordPress, the database, and the file system. Then, I repeated all steps above.
My request
Could you please instruct me how to have a custom home page rather than the theme template?
