• WordPress: 4.1.1
    Theme: Corprative (via Envato)
    Host: Siteground

I have been charged with editing and maintaining the copy and SEO promotion for a WordPress website (www.southwestdigitalsolutions.com).

At least I have administrative access to the WordPress installation and can modify everything within the installation. I also have admin cPanel access for the host, meaning I can modify anything in the site installation files.

While I am now an administrator for the site, I do not have the purchase codes for the WordPress theme or the visual composer plugin. Herein lies the problem. I am unable to acquire official support from the theme creator or the plugin developer. Understand?

    The Problem:

This theme and a specific plugin are generating two separate meta tags which can compromise my SEO efforts…

Two separate <meta name=”generator”> tags are being generated which can cause a search engine such as Google to penalize the site for spamming.

At this time, I am completely unable to find the source that is generating these meta generator tags.

Can anyone help me to resolve this problem?
