[Theme: Bloq]Parallax Efffect jittery when scrolling

  • I am just finishing a website on WordPress. I think I have everything just right, except one thing:

    The parallax effect on my homepage slider is really weird when scrolled up/down. I have seen this also happens with the live demo of my theme.

    Given that this also happens on the live demo, I am guessing the custom CSS I have added has nothing to do with this, but I have:

    switched back to my original theme, to see if the modifications to my child theme are to blame. they are not.
    disabled all my plugins. they were not the cause.
    I have read through similar issues, like this, and this. But either I misunderstood or it simply does not apply to my case. No thread from the WordPress forums were much help either.

    My question is: how do I stop it from behaving so weirdly? I would really want a smooth scroll, if possible.

  • I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial parent theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial products here.

    Thank you.

    It is indeed a commercial theme. However support is no longer offered for it, so I thought I’d take my chances here, because I know it could be something minor that I’m not seeing.

    If you feel it’s appropriate, you can certainly close this thread.

    We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial themes as you paid for support when you bought the theme. It is not our place to keep theme vendors in business or deprive them of any income that they may derive from support services.
