• The header containing the site identity and tagline is covering up too much of our header photo. I would like to lower it so that it is touching the top main menu. Size is fine, just too high. Can this be done via the functions.php so future updates of the theme would not be impacted? What code changes are recommended to make this simple change?

We do not use the footer. Is there a way to lower the height of the footer? Same thought here, through a change in the functions.php? What code changes are recommended to make this simple change?

    Thank you

  • You should be able to do this with CSS rules by simply re-positioning the header and footer

Thank you for the reply. I assume that i cannot add this type of change in the functions.php so i did spend some time in the .css file. I believe what I was asking for was to lower the “blog-info” block. While I can change its width and height, I do not see where the position is controlled. Is this a modification to an existing rule or an additional rule?
