Can someone recommend some good darker colors which make this theme readable? The default theme blows my eyes out. I tried the dark theme and it’s way too much black. The other theme colors are just ridiculous. I’m not having a hot pink website.

I’ve been trying a bunch of colors with the slider, but nothing seems right. It’s either too bright or too dark. I don’t know what colors go together.

Hey @synsanken – Colors are a tricky thing – especially because they can be so subjective.

That being said you could try using some charcoal/dark greys instead of black (like #333 or #666) which might help. Beyond that – it is really a matter of what is to your taste.

Those look pretty good thanks. I just want something I can read without burning my eyes out.

But the background colors don’t show up on the hamburger menu when on a mobile. It’s still bright white when I click the hamburger menu. I can’t post a link because it’s not live yet.

Hey @synsanken! I would actually recommend that you switch to the dark style first, and then edit the individual colors to match what you like. This way you would have a baseline which is already set up for light text on dark backgrounds.

For finding color combinations, you can use some online services like these:
