• Hello, lately I’ve been working on creating some adjustments to my site and one that I wanted to do for a while was remove the header that is included as part of the template.

As you can see at the top of the page, I have my own smaller header image sitting there.
However, under that is a gray rectangular box sitting with it on top of the menubar that I’d like to remove, so it’s just my header image and the background with it. At this point I’m unable to do anything with that thing aside from changing it’s color…I want to potentially use the space for newer customized social media advertisements or comic-related promotional materials instead of it just sitting there.

This is an example of another site running ComicPress through WordPress that is pulling off what I’m talking about.

I was advised to copy the header.php from my ComicPress parent theme into my child theme (would that go into my ‘child-funtions.php’ or my ‘stylesheet.css’?) and that I can just edit from there to get what I’m looking for, but I don’t know what edits to that I need to make for it to work. Any help on that editing front would be appreciated, thanks!
