    I have setup a new WordPress build using Version 4.7.
    The theme customizer gets stuck on Save & Publish so does not save.
    I have no plugins activated. I am editing in Chrome browser with AdBlock disabled.
    Any ideas on how to fix?
    Cheers, Steve

    Unless this occurs no matter what theme you use, you should use the support method that is dedicated to your particular theme. Go to the theme’s main page and look for links for getting support.

    If this happens with any theme, how did you install WP? Self-install or your host’s installation script?

    I used host’s installation script. How does that make a difference?

    Hosts often make custom modifications to the code that’s installed. Sometimes those changes don’t mesh well with other themes or plugins. You can try uploading files from a WP download, overwriting the ones installed by script, and deactivating any host provided plugin. That should get the customizer working, but your installation may become incompatible with the server configuration. I’ve never had trouble running my own install, but there’s a first time for everything.

    I just had a thought. Before doing anything else, edit you wp-config.php file and add the following above the “That’s all, stop editing!” line near the bottom:
    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );

    Be sure this definition does not already occur above or an error will result. If it’s already defined, just be sure it’s defined as false. A long shot, but easy to try.

    Thanks @bcworkz for your comments. I did notice some custom modification made by install scripts but these did not seem to cause my issue. I have alerted my hosting provider as the Softaculous scripts may cause other issues.

    I have found the solution. As there were no instructions on setting up theme twenty seventeen. I played around until it worked. Here are my findings.

    Create pages with a featured image. Build and save your menu. Go to customize, theme options and update the Front Page Section Content w/new menu items. Save & Publish, refresh homepage and done.
