• I’m hoping someone will be able to give me some good advice here, and my question isn’t too foolish. I am quite new to building a WordPress site, and took a class with an instructor who had us install a generic theme to our site for practice. Now that the class is over, I learned I should delete the theme via FTP on my web host (I use iPage). I went to the root directory and found the wp-themes folder, and made the huge mistake of deleting the whole folder, not the themes folder within it.

Is there anything I can do to simply reinstall the folder? I don’t feel comfortable enough with my skillset to uninstall/reinstall WordPress from scratch, so I was hoping there’s a way. Any advice is helpful!

  • There is no wp-themes folder.

There is wp-content folder, with themes folder in it.

Which folder that you deleted ?

    What WP version ? 3.5.2 or 3.6 ?

I’m sorry – yes, that’s what I meant to type. The themes folder, under the wp-content folder is correct. I meant to delete the existing themes package I had, but ended up deleting the entire folder. I have WP 3.5.2. I’m hoping there is an easy fix to this, and am a bit nervous that I may have to start fresh.

Visit this page and click to download that folder in zip (link at bottom)
    https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/tags/3.5.2/wp-content/themes

Upload this zip to your server and unzip it into its place, or upzip it first and FTP.
