• I installed WP on to an existing site. The default WP theme is not showing up, and changing to a different theme doesn’t change anything. I have tried deleting the files that I thought contained the old web design, and uninstalling and reinstalling WP. Suggestions please!

Here is another hint: Even when I preview other themes, my old design shows up in the preview window.

The URL of your site would help.

Do you still have an index.html file sitting in the domain-root? That will override WordPress’ index.php if you do. Rename index.html to old-index.html if you don’t want to delete it.

URL is debduffin.com. I deleted all of the index.html files I could find. Now, I can see the themes if I preview them. And, when I post something, and view it, I see it on the new theme. However, if I just click on the site button, it links to my old theme.

    Thanks for your help!

I just left a comment on your site, so certainly something is working (different avatar – a cockatoo – but it’s still me).

What theme do you want to be using?

    Random Background.

Just found out it works correctly if viewed with IE but not with Firefox!

Cleared the cache in Firefox–all is well
