Theme Editor won’t allows edits

  • None of the pages in my theme editor can be edited
    If this file were writable you could edit it.

    What’s wrong?

  • To edit in the theme editor, all theme files you want to edit must be chmod 666 to be writeable.
    BE SURE and chmod back to 644 for security.

    A better way is to download file to computer – edit – upload.
