Theme Editor Writes Blank File When Updating File

    Ubuntu 14.04 / PHP 5.5.9 / WordPress 4.5.1
    All plugins disabled – problem persists

    When I make changes to a theme file (header.php for instance), using the theme editor, and press the Update File button, the contents of the file are deleted. I verified that the file is 0 bytes after change.

    Is this a result of the updates to TinyMCE perhaps?

    Found the solution. ??

    It turns out that I have run out of space on my server, disallowing me from adding to the WordPress database. I’m not certain how that causes the file to be written blank, but it does seem to be the cause.
