[Theme: Estate] I only want to show a summary of posts on the home page

Hi,

I can’t work out how to modify the Estate theme to only show a summary of my latest posts on the home page and not the full article.

Also, on a slightly different but unrelated topic, the posts themselves are displaying both the first image and featured image (often the same thing) at the start of each article – can this be prevented?
