[Theme: Evolve] Latest Version doesn't recognize child theme

So many problems with latest version, I don’t know where to start. Design is completely changed, two versions of menus one on top of the other, my child theme isn’t recognized because it’s “missing a template.” Slider text design completely different?? I’m trying to make a site live next week which has been approved, can you please give us the option to revert easily? I have never seen such major changes to a theme without some kind of warning, I read the change notes before I updated, this is a nightmare.
