need help with search result page

  • WP version 3.6.1
    Expressions ver 1.28.4
    The theme includes a search widget [I don’t think I added it separately]
    Everything works, but I would like to modify the results page by adding a paragraph of information at the top of the page. The “page” is ?s=<search word>, but that obviously is not a standard WP page that I can access to modify.

    How do I get to the code to make the changes I need?

    PS. Is this a WP issue, or a theme issue, or a widget issue? I am not even sure where to post the question.

    If you mean with the Expressions theme can you please post your question to that theme’s dedicated sub-forum?

    Typing [Theme Expressions] in the topic title (deleted) doesn’t do anything and won’t bring your problem to the attention of the theme author.

    How do I find theme sub-forums? Do I just go to ….support/theme/<theme>? Do all themes have their own sub-forum?
    I am quite new to this, please forgive if this is a dumb question.

    It’s not a dumb question at all and I apologize if I discouraged you.

    In this case just click the link I provided above. It will take you directly to the submission for for that sub forum.

    When you visit a theme’s page in the WordPress repository the support link is at that page.

    For example the Expressions page is at this URL.

    That’s a neat looking theme. ??

    The support link is there too at the top just after the theme name.
