    Hi all,

    I have been using this forum for a while and found it so valuable, so thought id join up.

    I have installed 4.4.2 however every theme that I install is not showing the frontpage template, just a title bar and homepage/sample page or blog post.

    The home page i made page is set to front page and the theme is set to show this under the customise option. Ive Set the Reading/writing option correctly but still no luck ??

    I have reinstalled wordpress a multiple of times and tried different themes however still not showing the theme’s frontpage template.

    Also I noticed under appearance there is no editor option even after a reinstall of wordpress. Not sure if this is related to the problem?

    I cant figure where im going wrong, any help or advice is much appretiated

    Thankyou

    So ive managed to bring the editor back by:-

    1. find the file & edit wp-config.php .

    2. On wp-config file, line 87, set this define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true);

    3. set to false

    Solved!!!

    Once the wp-config file is set correct as above,

    1. delete all plugins
    2. reinstall your theme
    3. Check your site, sit back and feel sweet victory ??
