If you want to create new custom post type, you should really read documentation. Do you know you could also use a plugin to do that?

Alex, yea I read a bit and I actually created a new post type. However when I copy your format it just doesn’t work.

It’s hard to tell why id doesn’t work for you. I strongly recommend following WordPress documentation – their examples work 100%.
