Theme help

    I am just beginning to get a very basic understanding of what is going on behind the scenes of my site.

    When looking to get help – is it better to have a really widely used child theme?

    I am using Genesis and a child theme from Viva Violette. Can Genesis users ask for help on this forum? Can Genesis users who use a non-studiopress child theme ask for help on the studio press forums?

    If I want basic help with things like formatting – and I want to learn to do it myself – am I better off using a very widely used theme?

    As to StudioPress, you’ll have to ask them – we don’t have any info about their policies.

    If you need help and can’t get it elsewhere, then yes, using a theme that’s supported here is probably a good idea :)!

    BTW, do the developers of your child theme not provide support for it?

    I have asked a couple of questions, but no real help has arisen.

    Thanks wpyogi for clarifying the situation – I shall go pester the genesis folk.
